Gas Grass or Ass Drivin' from Novato in my Thunderbird Goin out to party boy ain't you heard? Scoopin nannies, MILFs, runaways and such When you step in my whip you just got to go dutch Gas, grass or ass, nobody rides for free Taste the neon glow it's the place to be Gas, grass or ass, no-one gets in free When I scoop with my coupe, man you pay the fee Suckin on a joint, got the pedal down Roll a fat spliff rollin into town Your friend needs a ride, hey get in the back Pull her pants down, give that ass a slap Gas, grass or ass, nobody rides for free Taste the neon glow it's the place to be Gas, grass or ass, no-one gets in free When I scoop with my coupe, man you pay the fee Now we're down in the club in the VIP Just my old gold bros Nate, Adam, and Larry And this stone cold fox walkin up to me... ...see you later, boys C'mon, pay it

about

Welcome to the soundtrack of the male idiot mind. Huff some spray paint, eat some beef jerky, smoke a pack of Newports, and unleash your forcefield on an unsuspecting world, blasting this jam from your Buick. The magnetism of your untamed, raw charisma will attract all that you desire, effortlessly.

*****

Beach Sloth says "‘Gas Grass or Ass’ is about as brilliant as one would expect. ELRON’s sense of humor appears to be intact for the duration of the relatively simplistic song. The biggest appeal of ELRON throughout all of its projects is the stripped-down minimal approach alongside its penchant for ridiculousness. On ‘Gas Grass or Ass’ ELRON displays the absurd sense of humor that makes its work so enjoyable. While the crude humor might not be for everyone it tends to go for the childish humor displayed on Beck’s early anti-folk meanderings.

"For the opener (they are the same song) ELRON uses a comparatively more polished approach. The sound is sleek, somewhat disjointed but overall clean. Vocals are distorted as is their want. By using the distortion they manage to create this drunken mood. A close approximation to a chorus emerges to try to replicate a pop song structure. Synthesizers try to weave their way through the half-conscious track.

"On the demo track things get considerably less coherent. Asides of the vocalist are funnier. The technology seems to be of the lowest fidelity possible. Unlike the opener there’s a generally looser feel to the song. While most of the lyrics are the same the delivery appears to be distracted. Live aspects of it help it come alive: the hand claps are a nice touch. Most of the time the song tries to keep itself on task. By the end though it completely gives up letting the song devolve into a bunch of live percussion, which actually feels perfect.
